Book fair visitors can look forward to meeting Pulitzer Prize winners Jill Lepore and Colson Whitehead, the 2026 International Booker Prize winner Yang Shuang-zi and nominee Shida Bayzar, bestselling author Cornelia Funke and many more. Books on Czechia: submit your titles now |
Publishers can now register their titles for the international "Books on Czechia" exhibition in the Guest of Honour Pavilion at Frankfurter Buchmesse. All works by Czech authors in translation are welcome, as well as titles about the culture, language, history and society of Czechia. Books need to be published between 2023 and 2026 and be available for order. |

Guatemala: democracy and reading promotion |
Germany was the Guest of Honour at FILGUA, the international book fair in Guatemala. Frankfurter Buchmesse organised Germany's presence there together with around 30 partner organisations. During the event, our Social Media Manager Svenja Pütz met Dinorah Azpuru. In the interview, the political scientist explains how democratisation and the peace agreements in Guatemala have influenced education, libraries and reading promotion. |
