"Our listeners are a source of inspiration for us"

The global audiobook market has experienced an astonishing growth over the past 15 years. At Frankfurt, the book fair’s audio area almost doubled in size in 2024 compared to 2023. German audiobook publisher Hörbuch Hamburg has just been nominated for the German Audiobook Awards 2025 with several titles. We talked to CEO Colin Hauer about what makes a good audiobook, upcoming audio trends and the use of AI.
