Navigating Frankfurter Buchmesse as a Translator
|
Normally, translators spend their time in seclusion with a laptop, dictionaries and possibly a pet, engrossed in their projects. Fiction and non-fiction translator Alexandra Roesch tells us why a visit to Frankfurter Buchmesse is interesting for her and what it takes to make a trip to Frankfurt a success. In her article, published at www.new-books-in-german.com, she gives numerous tips that are not only valuable for translators.

In October, a new area will premiere at Frankfurter Buchmesse: "Meet the Author". The area is a response to readers' wishes to meet their favourite authors at the Book Fair and maybe even get a selfie. Lars Birken-Bertsch, Director Strategic Project Development, Cooperations & Programme, explains in a short interview what else is involved.
